Gerd Faltings(1954)
MathematicsGerd Faltings is a German mathematician known for his work in arithmetic geometry. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 1986 for his proofs of the Mordell conjecture and several related conjectures. He won the Abel Prize in 2026 for these achievements.
